Dooley Motors Service Staff Score at Ford Awards

As part of Ford Ireland's New Deal campaign Dave Pimlott, Director of After-Sales Customer Service Division in Henry Ford & Son came up with a novel new initiative 18 months ago.

He decided that he would create a unique learning programme to enhance the skills of the Service Department staff. Naoise Blake Training & Development designed an interactive, blended, intensive nine month programme for Ford Service Managers and Ford Service Advisors from all over Ireland. Dooley Motors, Carlow share Ford’s customer service focus and vision and decided to enrol three customer facing team members from their service department.


Learning themes included leadership skills, engaging with the customer, maximising up-selling and providing an enhanced service that exceeds the customers expectations. Participants completed 7 classroom modules as well as regular presentations, assessments and a written thesis over 9 month period.

On Thursday December 17th the first 60 participants were awarded their Certificates at the lavish Graduation Event in The Osprey, with awards going to Students of The Year as well as a special Talent of the Future Award. Dooley Motors were delighted that their three participants passed with distinction (Suzanne Quigley, Nikki Keogh & Elenna Somers are pictured with Rowena Dooley DP Dooley Motors).


Nikki Keogh went on to achieve an addition acclaim by receiving the Talent of the Future award on the night.
Nikki was singled out for her ability to bring business forward, her focus on the business to ensure Ford customers are engaged at all times and a willingness to adapt and embrace change.
